"I think there’s a different opinion between the players that play the game and the people that are involved with hockey directly than there is by media and fans that don’t play the game. In my opinion, those are the people that want to see higher suspensions, and rightfully so. They’re a fan of the game and they didn’t sign up to watch UFC fighting or whatever. But we all as players did sign up to play the game. And with the game, there comes the unfortunate risk of getting injured. I think that’s why you see different reactions from players as opposed to maybe the media or fans. "
